What is Smart Cold?
Smart Cold is a Brazilian commercial and industrial refrigeration manufacturer, founded in 2021 in Vargem Grande Paulista/SP, that builds custom equipment. Smart Cold handles sizing, design, manufacturing, and installation; maintenance is handled by Frio Ideal, a group company and the sole provider authorized to maintain Smart Cold equipment.
What capacity range does Smart Cold equipment cover?
It depends on the line. Condensing units, Smart Cold's flagship, range from 5 to 200 kW, for cold rooms, distribution centers, and industrial processes. Multi-compressor racks range from 40 to 600 kW, with 2 to 6 compressors, for supermarkets and large distribution centers. Monobloc plug-ins range from 1 to 8 kW, for bakeries, restaurants, small retail, and cold rooms of up to 20 m³. Within each range, the exact capacity is defined in the project, by sizing the operation's real thermal load.
Which clients already work with Smart Cold?
Smart Cold's clients include UPS Healthcare and DASA. At the healthcare products distribution center that Bomi Group operates for UPS Healthcare, Smart Cold and Frio Ideal, a group company, reworked the entire refrigeration infrastructure, and preventive maintenance and monitoring are handled by Frio Ideal. For DASA, Smart Cold deployed high-precision cold rooms for biological materials and supplies.
